How to choose a reloading press

Reloading press is the most important part of the reloading set. Depending on reloading (rifle amunition, pistol amunition, combination of different calibers, quick change of calibers...) and the ammount of ammunition to be reload, we choose different presses. Purchase of the press is an investiment for many years. When picking a press, there's suggested to be more generous and buy better one, than you apparently need. The reloading press isn't just for one season and our quality press won't give you a reason to replace the machine. Presses which can be improved by purchasing and equipping accessories are a good solution. I'm sure you'll make the same experience as many before you. You'll simply enjoy it. You will find that price of your ammunition lowered and you have better shooting results, so you shoot more, than you originally estimated. Aside this, you surely want to spend more time shooting than reloading. This problem may be solved by your child, that's shooting too :)

(but it will at least double the ammo consumption, so it's a bit contraproductive step)

All our presses are very well built and proven in practice.

To simplify Your choice, we have made reloading sets, which contain all You need to start reloading. Components like powder, bullets and primers can't be sent, however we'll gladly help you choose the right ones.

Single stage press

- always one reloading operation per one lever operation. For next operation, you have to rebuild the press, typically solved by changing die. Powder is typically inserted outside the press manually. This type of press is ideal for reloading accurate rifle rounds.

Turret press

- one reloading operation per one lever operation. All operations are made without rebuilding the press, turret provides changing of the dies automatically.
When the shell passes all the operations, it's finished. So you'll take it out and continue on other. The reloading speed is few hundred rounds per hour.

Progressive press

- principially simillar to Turret type press. Contains rotary shell plate, so all operations are done at the same time. There's one finished load per lever operation. The reloading speed is many hundred rounds per hour, and can be increased by expanding the press with automatic case and bullet feed kits.

How to pick Your press

First you have to know is, that the prodictivity of press isn't equal to easiness of handling and resistance to mishandling. When you handle the press carefully, it will last a long time, but very insensitive handling can successfully damage it.
Not only for beginners, but even for reloaders who want really massive multi-operative press is Classic Turret a great choice.
On the other hand, press PRO 1000 or Loadmaster is designed for experienced users. The reason isn't in bad quality of the press, but in simple fact, that this two types of presses have only two types of owners. One love them, and the other hate them.

We recommend Classic Turret sets.

It's absolute bestseller. You will appreciate the massive design, which is useful for reloading not only pistol rounds, but most of rifle rounds too. Massive construction connected with simplicity of the reloading system gives the press a long life and easy, intuitive handling. It's so easy, your children can do it.
